How to select a coach?
All the coaches on VideoCoachMe were chosen by our experience coaching committee to give you the best evaluation possible. Select a coach that has an available timeslot for evaluation and start to improve your game.
How to video shoot a game?
In order to get a good evaluation it is important to know how to record your game, please follow these guidelines:
o Try to show at least a 1/3 of the court, not too close and not too wide.
o Don't follow the ball! Or one player – if you move your camera every time there is a pass or a shot, the film will be in constant motion and will be hard to watch.
o When the team is playing on half court try to show all the 10 players, although we want to see you, we also need to see how you interact with other players and what they are doing.
o Where to position? Again not too high on the bleachers since it will be hard to see the player's moves and crossover's and at the same time don't sit to low, then you won't be able to see the players that move away from you. Try to sit in "half-height".
o Show the time clock and the score every Time-Out, it will help to get oriented on the game.
o Which camera to use. The best will be a camera with a hard disk. If you don't have one, you'll need to download the movie to your computer using A FireWire (IEEE 1394) or USB Port on your PC, please read your camera user manual for more details.
How to connect the camera to the PC?
In order to use the VideoCoachMe service you'll need to import your game from your camera to the PC. If your camera has a hard drive you just need to connect it through a USB or a FireWire (IEEE1394) connection. If your camera is a MiniDV or another digital format you should be able to do the same. Either way we advise you to read your camera user manual for the easy way to connect your camera to your PC.
How VideoCoachMe can help my game?
Every coach will tell you that the small things in basketball will make you better. This is what we are trying to do here, you and a highly experienced coach will review your game together and will analyze your performance. After that session you'll know exactly what you need to do and how you should improve your game.
Do I need to upload the video?
There is no upload necessary to use VideoCoachMe. All you have to do is to select a video file on your PC, and you are ready to go.
How long can the evlauation game be?
